Green Building Council of Greater Columbia will meet for a
Quarterly Membership Meet Our topic for
this meeting is a comparison of the various green building
certification programs which has been painstakingly assembled by
our very own Stan O’Brien of Paradime Construction.
We’ll see just how close all the different programs
are, and learn the subtle differences. We’ll also talk about the Environ-mini project for this

| Construction waste management is often viewed as a headache, but done well, can actually save money for builders. A good waste management plan will also prevent violations and limit environmental impacts. A half-day workshop scheduled for August 27 at USC’s Green Quad Learning Center will offer case studies and lessons learned. It will also highlight creative waste management and recycling/reuse services offered in the state. HBA Green Building Council Members qualify for the USGBC Member rate to attend ($30).
